We will explore a wide range of topics with the young people, using physical
theatre, drama and dance to promote self-discovery. – our roles as facilitators
gives the young people an opportunity to come to their own informed conclusions
in regards to the issues raised.

Participants will:
Have an increased sense of timing
Learn a type of dance that involves highly coordinated moves, which will help
them to multi-task, therefore increasing their mental agility.
Increase fitness levels by taking part in this cardiovascular workout
Be faced with the challenge of learning an intricate routine and feel a sense of
great satisfaction once achieved
Develop creativity skills (when asked to devise short pieces)
Increase confidence in moving rhythmically in front of others.
Benefit from a greater sense of well being (as whilst dancing endorphins are
released which in turn enhance a persons mood)
Learn to work with others creatively |

Participants will:
Gain the opportunity to explore a topic in an interactive and ‘true-to-life’
manner.
Become more socially aware/sensitive by taking on the role of other people who
they not necessarily relate to.
Be taught the basics of stage discipline.
Learn various theatre styles and techniques e.g. miming, physical theatre, mask
work, epic theatre etc…
Work with industry professional, therefore getting a real sense of what it would
be like to work in the field.
Get a chance to explore their creativity in an uninhibited and non-restrictive
way.
Gain confidence and become less self-conscious through playing theatre games and
taking part in challenging games.
Teachers will:
Have the opportunity to learn new techniques to be used in the classroom.
Be able to use the time to continue with activities they may not normally get
